The Way of the Drum and the 7 Directions of the Medicine Wheel

Mvie offers shamanism training around the way of the drum and the 7 directions of the medicine wheel. It consists of a set of 5 courses, held over a year, which will allow you to go around the Medicine Wheel and discover the sacred teachings of each direction. During these large group initiations, the strength of the circle and the accompanying team will support you in the rites of passage and the great inner transformations that the Medicine Wheel will offer you.

The Medicine Wheel

The Medicine Wheel is a metaphor for the Wheel of Life . It represents the entire Universe, from the infinitely large to the infinitely small, where everything begins and everything ends.
Calling on the seasons, the directions , the elements , the colors , the animals of power , the plants or even everything that is part of our environment. It puts them in resonance with our individual plans (body, emotional, mental, spiritual) and with the different periods of our life. It allows us to understand our functioning and our environment, to measure our balances and our imbalances.
Finally, it allows us to realize that our healing potential is within us and all around us, right at our fingertips!

Each direction, the North, the South, the East, the West, but also the Top, the bottom and the Center, vibrate with a sacred energy rich in teachings.

Medicine wheel shamanism training

To celebrate the equinox at the Center of the wheel is to be at the center of one's Life. While being in connection with oneself and in harmony with one's environment.

At the rhythm of the seasons we will live the experiences that the Medicine Wheel offers and we will cross the initiatory passages that it imposes (birth, maturity, old age, death, rebirth…). For this we will anchor our bodies and activate our energies through drumming, dance, trance, voice and active meditation. Together we will travel and heal the wounds of our little stories through integrative practices (considering all parts of our being) carried by different Shamanic traditions . We will explore the different stages through Celtic Rites , Tantric teachings , but also through psycho-corporal approaches , the integration of shamanic constellations or even guided meditations ,

We will experience profound transformations through these powerful rites of passage . Every Gate, every Direction will initiate us. We will discover its guardians and medicines. We will make our power objects to constitute our medicine bags and we will gradually develop our own Medicine Wheel!
You will thus be able to learn to evolve within your medicine wheel to meet all your dimensions.

Together we will celebrate these energies, their guardians and the elements. We will honor our energies of Life, the visible and the invisible… In a room full of energy, in the forest, on the river path, at the waterfall… Shamanic time will guide our steps and orient us!

Useful information

It is with joy that the Way of the Drum and the 7 directions offers you over the seasons, the lunations, the elements and the different ages of life to explore the Medicine Wheel, in 5 weekends, in full board, from Friday 7 p.m. to Sunday 6 p.m.
Two options:

The Medicine of the Raven will bring us back to the density of our bodies to connect us to our depths, to the Earth and to the humus. We will let ourselves be carried by the energy of autumn to meet Death, to connect with our Ancestors and our Roots.

In resonance with Imbolc , the Celtic festival of purification which celebrates the end of winter,
we will agree on the ancestral energy of the Kidneys to explore our fears and the great passages of the “Life-Death-Life” cycle.

The dates follow the seasons, the solstices and the equinoxes. They are set on the Celtic Passage festivals (February, April, July September November).

Accommodation

Accommodation is full board.
In dormitories, in double rooms with or without private bathroom, from 75 or 85 euros per person and per day depending on the location!

Administrative :

It is done on Sunday noon or at 6 p.m., to allow you more accuracy in the price of conscience. Payment is made by cheque, cash or bank transfer.

Prices :

Between 200 and 420 euros to be adjusted in conscience and to be paid on Sunday evening according to experience.

Shamanism training: the different directions of the Medicine Wheel

The Medicine Wheel Center:

Through Hummingbird Medicine, we will connect to the Heart, Heaven and Earth. We will create our Sacred Spaces to align, center and free ourselves from all that keeps us from being at the Center. So from the center we can travel in all directions to meet their Sacred teachings. So we can map our personal Medicine Wheels and meet all our allies.
This course contains teachings and oral transmissions on the Medicine Wheel. It also contains a Ritual of Sacred Space, Celtic Wheel, cartography and a ritual of dismemberment/reassembly.

Do you like to dive straight into the experience and fully live an immersion without knowing too much in advance? Join us at any door, whenever you feel the call!

Like the Sufi dancers, we will dance around our Centers. We will go beyond rigidity to find our flexibility and our rhythms in order to generate our own balance. This will allow us to access a better understanding of ourselves. For to be in one's center is to allow oneself to be in one's own balance; to be in harmony with its ecology in the broad sense, external and internal. It is to know oneself and to welcome oneself as such, in order to develop one's strengths and one's connections: one's being in the World.

sacred space

Meeting his drum is like falling in love with two energies!
We invite you to experience the birth of your ally drum through the encounter with the Spirit of the drum, rituals, travels and its manufacture. You will be invited to bring it to life! We will guide you towards your shamanic drum with respect and awareness of honoring the animal, the plant and all the spirits that will accompany you.

By this reminiscence, the Door of the Beyond and of Wisdom will be able to open. It will allow us to travel in the Worlds above to meet our Life Mission and our Essence. We will connect to our own wisdom and learn to read crystals for answers to our questions.

East of the Medicine Wheel:

Carried by the Medicine of the Eagle we will connect the Air element to deploy ourselves towards the future and the Renewal . We will lighten our minds and clear our vision to see the new perspectives that spring brings us.

April – May, Beltaine :

This course contains a ritual of rebirth and purification of the body.
Spring is approaching and the time has come to leave the energies of winter to open up to the projects and novelties brought by the beginning of the clear season.

Indeed, between the equinox and Beltaine - the Celts celebration celebrating the return of the light -, the passage of the door of the East allows us to be reborn in a new cycle! The eve of Beltane is the night of the witches : Walpurgis . It will give us the opportunity to dive one last time very deeply into our shadows and into the darkness of the night to find the momentum to spring towards the light.

Eagle Medicine

It takes the extraordinary radiant power of the sun to bring daylight and warm the earth. Light brings illumination, vision and clarity to the world that comes alive every morning. In the connection to the rising sun and to the Medicine of the Eagle, we will draw an initiatory path within us. This path will allow us to gain height and have a clear vision of situations. Growing nature will show us the movement of openness to the world. Then we will experience a conscious Rebirth through holotropic breathwork and altered states of consciousness ( re-birthing ). Birth and the first cry are in the spotlight in this period of renewal!

South of the Medicine Wheel:

Carried away by the Medicine of the Phoenix, connected to the Fire element, we will connect to our inner sun. We will contact our maturity and our generosity of the Heart to nourish our life and our desires. Together, we will free ourselves from everything that could prevent us from radiating serenely. We will appease the fire of emotions to rediscover the joy of the Heart, the Soul and the innocence of our inner children.
This course contains a Ritual of Moulting and awakening, of calling energies and the making of an object of power.

July-August Lungnasad :

The month of August corresponds to Lugnasad , the Harvest Festival in Celtic traditions. This is the period when abundance invites us to exchange, to offer, but also to play and dance. It is a celebration of peace and friendship, an invitation to celebrate the Joy of the Heart and the soul, that which one finds by opening oneself to one's energy of Life and welcoming one's inner child.

Throughout the course, we will explore through shamanic journeys to the sound of the drum, dance, active meditation, … the laughter and innocence of our souls. at the South Gate we have nothing more to prove to the world. We can offer our presence and our quality of being.

This quality of being can be nurtured by the warmth and generosity of summer. We are invited to enjoy this abundance of nature and cultivate it within us . Together we will reconnect these moments of success and joy during which we were able to be proud of ourselves! The sun at its zenith will inspire us and show us the way to glory

We will free ourselves from our limitations and our breastplates to find the way to the freedom of being. We will be sustained by fire! The fire transforms, it transmutes and feeds on all that we no longer need. Supported by the medicine of the phoenix which inhabits the southern door, it offers us a real passage to maturity. He invites us to put ourselves at the service of fulfillment and joy.

We will play at setting in motion our creative power, our Life Force and our transforming Fire to let ourselves be traversed by the power of the Phoenix!

West of the Medicine Wheel:

Driven by the medicine of water, we will purify the memories inscribed in our cells and the universal memories that crystallize us. Water as the primary element that welcomes us on earth and that composes us, will invite us to go through the experience of incarnation and fetal life.

This course contains a Ritual of Mourning and liberation from the lineage.

October- November, Samhain :

This course offers you the opportunity to discover your energy center, but also physical, psychic, emotional and spiritual.
To do this, we will create our Sacred Spaces and journey to the drum to map our personal Medicine Wheels. With the help of our guides, our allies, the elements, ordinary and non-ordinary reality, we will raise awareness of our shamanic spaces.

The door to the West therefore invites us to sink into the earth, to go within ourselves to find our strengths and our weaknesses.
She invites us to explore the Cycle of Death and impermanence and to honor our Roots. Those which were at our origin, which allowed us to constitute ourselves in matter and which influence us.
In consciousness, we will connect in the depths of the Earth to our Ancestors, to our " family constellations ", hanging from these stretched threads of the transgenerational...

And we will explore our lineages in order to free ourselves from the “little story” to regain our healing power.

The passage from the light season to the dark season can be experienced in this movement from the outside to the inside of the Body, in this deep connection to oneself and to the womb of the Great Mother Goddess, in the immense canvas of the Spider…

North of the Medicine Wheel:

Connected to the Medicines of the White Bison and Water and the Beyond, we will go through our memories of Incarnation and Life in-utero. We will reconnect the most subtle part of our beings to rediscover the Wisdom of Knowledge.
This stage contains a Ritual of Death, of Reconnection to one's Life Mission, to one's Original Essence and of soul retrieval.

January-February Imbolc

Do you need to take things early and figure them out? Do you want theory and lessons? Join us in September at the Porte du Centre, or in July at the shamanic initiation, or at the initiation to the Drum.

Finally we will experience the fact that to be on one's axis is also to be connected to the Energy of the Heart, in the immense space of acceptance of what is. Then the connection to earth and heaven can take on all its strength and fill us with its power of anchoring and connection.

During the Celtic festival of Samhain, autumn sees the energies and the seeds snuggle up in the ground to experience a wonderful alchemy... This day marks the end of summer, the death of the Sun God, and the return to the underworld. of the Goddess who regenerates herself in the hollow of the earth matrix for her winter gestation.

Through Purification practices and rites of passage, we will reconnect to our True Self.

We will also meet for:

shamanic initiation

Through explorations and theoretical contributions you will discover the three shamanic worlds that allow you to open up to the time of dreams.
Through the rhythm of the drums, you will travel from ordinary to non-ordinary worlds and learn to connect and ground yourself. You will discover the Medicine Wheel as an ally to create your Sacred Space and to travel in the different shamanic worlds in complete safety… For a day you will experience the return to Self and the practice of Ancestral Rites.
The Initiation takes shape according to the group of participants, the place where it takes place, the spirits and the forces present!

Through some theoretical contributions you will discover what the drum represents and how to connect to it.
You will learn to vibrate the drum alone or in a group and to welcome your Medicine song.
